Official #forbidden# statement by KissAnime Support circulating post on Facebook According to the circulating post via Facebook which includes a screenshot of Kissanime's official #forbidden# server stating the announcement regarding the closure of their website, they revealed that all the files and the web beta server were taken down by the copyright owners resulting to their decision to close the website forever. "Our beta server have been taken down, this could lead to the closure of the website. We will make more announcement after we have the decision", Kissanime Support's announced at 6:19 AM JST. "All files are taken down by copyright owners. KissManga and KissAnime will be closed forever. Thank you for your supports... Thank you to those years.", their message after 4 hours at 10:20 AM JST It was reported June of this year that Japan's parliament enacted the proposed revised copyright law to expand the law to punish those who knowingly download îllégâlly uploaded or pirated manga, magazines, and academic works. The revised law will go into effect on January 1, 2021 and penalties for repeat offenders of îllégâl downloads will be up to two years in jail or a maximum fine of 2 million yen (about Php 1 million), or both. Penalties for those operating îllégâl sites include up to five years in jail or a maximum fine of 5 million yen (about Php 2.5 million), or both.
