  1. Thank you Sir Jiro this is good news for everyone.
  2. Today’s Verse: The word of the Lord came to Jonah a second time, saying, “Get up, go to Nineveh, that great city, and proclaim to it the message that I tell you.” - Jonah 3:1,2 Sometimes when I try to teach my kids they don’t obey me even though I have their best interest at heart. I’ll ask them to eat their vegetables and they will intentionally do everything to get out of eating them. Often I have to ask several times and threaten punishment before they obey. When Jonah disobeyed God the first time by not going to Nineveh, he ended up in the belly of a large fish for three days! Fortunately, the Lord gave Jonah a second chance. Sometimes, we do not like the path or calling God has for us so we wander far from His direction. In His gracious and loving ways, He patiently pursues us. In life, we don’t always get the opportunity to make right our previous wrong decision. So let’s treat second chances seriously and not take them for granted. Even if we already did well the first time, why not do better the second time around? Today’s Prayer: Our Heavenly Father, forgive us for messing up many first-time opportunities You gave us. Lord, thank You for Your grace and mercy and for giving us second chances. Please help us to do our very best with them. In Jesus’ name, Amen. ???
  3. Today’s Verse: O send out your light and your truth; let them lead me; let them bring me to your holy hill and to your dwelling. - Psalm 43:3 Have you ever walked into a dark, unfamiliar room and could not find the light switch, only to wander around in the dark looking for it? It’s happened to me more than once, and it’s never a pleasant experience. Sometimes in our walk with God, we feel like we don’t know what to do when the lights don’t come on. Maybe we find ourselves feeling powerless and are unable to see the light at the end of the tunnel. We used to play and do this experiment when we were young. I use a candle and a glass jar, and the idea is that when the glass jar is placed on top of the candle, the light slowly dims and goes out. When the glass jar is pulled off just in time, the candle lights back up again. When we can’t seem to find the light in our lives, it’s time to take the jar off, surrender to God, and let Him lead us. Today’s Prayer: Father, thank You for always being a light for us. Please show me when I have that glass jar covering Your light and how to surrender to Your Will for my life. Amen.???
  4. Today’s Verse: Let them (the wicked) be like the snail that dissolves into slime; like the untimely birth that never sees the sun. - Psalm 58:8 In this verse, David graphically conveys that God despises evil. The few verses before verse 8 say that God will spare no one who plots evil, and God laughs at those that are evil because of their naive thinking. God’s wrath will consume the wicked. Do you recall times when you felt like you were drowning in this mortal life, when God felt distant, or like you had been knocked down? Ever felt like your sin was all-consuming, or you keep falling short? Remember the God you serve. The God that despises evil and laughs at their naive thinking. God is still there with you and will not let you be consumed. God is more powerful than any evil thought or action you may have or experience. His hand is always out for you to hold onto, you just have to keep reaching. Today’s Prayer: God, we are so grateful that You are always protecting us. You are our fortress and shelter. Please help us focus on You and remember that we are a part of Your eternity. The things we experience that are of this world like evil are temporary, and You are forever. Amen. ???
  5. Today’s Verse: Whatever your task, put yourselves into it, as done for the Lord, and not for your masters. - Colossians 3:23 My friend manages four branches of an international company. Few people know that she started in a low position and rose through the ranks. I had the privilege to work part-time under her few years ago and I noticed that she seemed to literally know everything. No one could fool her because she had worked in every position. Because of this vast experience, she understood first hand what was happening in every part of the company. When she was promoted to manager, I asked her if she had aspired to that position when she started and she replied no. She said the secret to her success was that when she works, she reminded herself that she works for the Lord and not men. If we don’t do otherwise, hardships will cause us to lose the passion and interest to do our best. He’d seen people stagnate and become disinterested in their job that led to quitting or being laid off. No matter how lowly or menial our job is, this is no excuse to perform below our best because we are working for the Lord. Today’s Prayer: Our Heavenly Father, thank You for giving us our jobs and the opportunity to work. Lord, forgive us for not doing our best all the time but from now on, we promise to treat our job no matter how lowly or menial they are, with passion, respect, and dedication, because we are working for You and not men. In Jesus’ name, Amen
  6. Today’s Verse: He said to them, “Why are you afraid? Have you still no faith?” - Mark 4:40 While I was preparing for an entrance examination, each day I would answer worksheets, review the exam questions, and enhance my knowledge needed for the test. I would also pray to God every night to help me do well on the exam. I had faith and I trusted Him. During the exams, I was both nervous and excited. With focus and determination, I answered every question diligently, even though the test was difficult. After the exams, I doubted myself and suddenly became afraid. What if I did not pass? What if I didn’t get enough right answers? After a week, the results were delivered. I passed and got accepted! At that moment I knew God was asking me, “Have you still no faith?” God is faithful in our lives. We have a lot of answered prayers and so the God who answered these prayers before, is the one true God who’ll also answer our prayers today. He has never failed, and He will not fail us today. Let us put our trust in Him, and always remember that He can do the impossible. Today’s Prayer: Lord, teach me to trust in You regardless of how the situation may seem impossible to me. Give me strong faith so I am always reminded that You can do anything. Amen. We need to remember the worth and dignity of each and every human being regardless of our personal views. God is the one that gives life and every person is here for a reason and a purpose, and that is His Will. We are all God’s children and He wants us to love each other and to get along
  7. Todays Verse:Both of them were righteous before God, living blamelessly according to all the commandments and regulations of the Lord. But they had no children because Elizabeth was barren, and both were getting on in years. - Luke 1: 6-7 In verses 4 & 5 of this chapter, Luke establishes the characters of Zechariah and Elizabeth as blameless, from an upright family, and well-liked. Something as fellow Christians we would aim for because it is pleasing to God and glorifies Him. But, despite the blameless and upright ways of Zechariah and Elizabeth, we see that they did not have a perfectly wonderful life. Elizabeth was barren, and they were growing old. Has there ever been a time in your life where you accomplished something and expected a certain outcome or blessing from God, but you didn’t get it? We don’t follow God and live an upright and blameless life to receive the blessings we think we deserve. We follow God and live an upright and blameless life to glorify our God. 1 Corinthians 6:20 says, “For you were bought with a price; therefore glorify God in your body.” God has promised us certain things, and we can rest assured He will follow through. Today’s Prayer:Father, help us to always remember who You are, what You did, and why we follow and live for you. Christianity is not a feel-good religion. Sometimes it is extremely difficult, so we ask You to help us persevere and keep us focused on You. Amen.

  10. Today’s Verse: You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength. - Mark 12:30 What does it mean to love God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength? It means complete and total surrender. It means you are ready to lay down all areas of your life, giving up the need to control everything and obey His commands. Loving God means putting Him first in every decision you make. You ask, “Will this please God?” And if not, you’ll make a different decision because obeying Him is honoring Him. To love God with your mind is to constantly seek the truth that is in the Bible because that refreshes you and keeps you closer to Him. To love God with your soul means you live your life worshipping Him and acknowledging Him in all your ways. Loving Him with all your strength means giving whatever you’ve got. That includes whatever strength that you have in you, and using the gifts He has given you to share and bless the world. He loves us completely and we are called to do the same. Today’s Prayer: Heavenly Father, may I always love You with all I’ve got. May my heart, soul, mind, and strength be always focused on You and for Your glory. Amen. ???
  11. Blesed morning everyone, do not let your heart be troubled. .

    Lucas 5:1

Amen !

  13. Divine Moments

    Today’s Verse:
Then there appeared to him (Zechariah) an angel of the Lord, standing at the right side of the altar of incense. - Luke 1:11

Before the angel appeared to Zechariah, we are told that he is serving and doing what he is called to do. Because of this, God orchestrated an event that presented an angel to Zechariah to deliver him news (read Luke 1 to find out more!) Thinking that God is always orchestrating my life and moments to interact with me gives me hope and peace. Because Zechariah was serving and obeying the Lord, he was open to an opportunity to interact with God. Sometimes, it is difficult for me to seek out these moments or create an atmosphere where I can grasp one if it were to occur. Our busy modern schedules tell us we don’t have time for prayer or quiet time. If we don’t have time for those things, how can we ever expect to hear God?

    Today’s Prayer:

God, I pray that in our moments of quiet time You would train our hearts to lean into and listen for Your voice. I pray we can go to a place where we aren’t distracted and that we can sense Your presence strongly. Remove the idea of “business” from our minds and remove laziness from our schedules. Please speak to us Lord, because we want to listen. Amen.?

I hope and pray each and every one of you has a great day!
