Each game will have a specific BCash prize, which I will mention when I post them. As soon as one game or question is solved correctly, I will introduce the next one. Keep in mind, it might not be the same game type, but the instructions will always clearly explain the question at hand. With the preliminaries covered, let's dive into our first game of the day! For 80 BCash - Question 1 - Logic Grid The season of new growth, spring, is nearing, and with it comes the time to wear swimsuits at the beach! Olivia and four of her friends have made a pact to shed some extra weight before the summer hits. They're gearing up to put on those swimsuits, and that means each one is saying goodbye to a favorite snack and taking up a new form of exercise. The five of them each have a different goal in mind for weight loss, and your challenge is to figure out the details. From the hints provided, you'll need to determine how many pounds each person wants to lose, identify the snack they're cutting out, and find out the exercise they're embracing. It's a puzzle, but with a little bit of thought, you'll put it all together! 1. Rachel aims to shed more weight than the person who has forsaken donuts but less weight than the individual who has started using the treadmill. 2. Jenny's weight loss goal is precisely 14 pounds less than that of the individual who is walking. 3. Tim, who is not practicing Yoga, has ceased consuming his afternoon cookies and is working to lose exactly 7 pounds less than the person engaged in boxing. 4. Carl has set a goal to lose 7 pounds less than the one who has abandoned Popcorn. 5. The individual who has stopped eating pretzels is not aiming to lose 27 pounds. 6. Olivia recognizes that giving up muffins is a minor concession in her quest to fit into a bikini. 7. The female boxer has chosen to eliminate donuts from her diet to achieve her objective. Asmodeus
My Answer(I would stick to this one) -> Jenny - Donuts - Boxing - 20 Tim - Cookies - Karate - 13 Carl - Muffins - Treadmill - 27 Olivia - Popcorn - Walking - 34 Rachel - Pretzels - Yoga - 24 But it doesn't quite fit with clue 6. #Other Possibility -> Jenny - Donuts - Boxing - 20 Tim - Cookies - Karate - 13 Carl - Popcorn - Treadmill - 27 Olivia - Muffins - Walking - 34 Rachel - Pretzels - Yoga - 24 But this one doesn't fits with clue 4(until there is a mistake in clue 4). JiroDavid
Answer Explanation, Another way to write the clue: -Explanation 1. "Rachel is trying to lose more pounds than the one who has given up donuts, but fewer pounds than the one who has begun using the treadmill." - Jenny gave up donuts and is losing 20 pounds, so Rachel must lose more than 20. - Carl started using the treadmill and is losing 27 pounds, so Rachel must lose fewer than 27. - Since Rachel is losing 24 pounds, this statement is consistent. 2. "Jenny is trying to lose exactly 14 pounds fewer than the person walking." - Olivia is walking and losing 34 pounds, so Jenny must lose 34 - 14 = 20 pounds. - This statement is consistent. 3. "Tim (who is not the one taking Yoga) has stopped eating his afternoon cookies. Tim is trying to lose exactly 7 pounds fewer than the boxer." - Jenny is boxing and losing 20 pounds, so Tim must lose 20 - 7 = 13 pounds. - Since Tim gave up cookies and is losing 13 pounds, this statement is consistent. 4. "Carl is trying to lose exactly 7 pounds fewer than the one who has given up Popcorn." - Olivia gave up popcorn and is losing 34 pounds, so Carl must lose 34 - 7 = 27 pounds. - This statement is consistent. 5. "The woman who has given up pretzels isn't the one trying to lose 27 pounds." - Rachel gave up pretzels and is losing 24 pounds, so this statement is consistent. 6. "Olivia knows that muffins are a small sacrifice to make as she is trying to get into a bikini." - Olivia gave up muffins, so this statement is consistent. 7. "The woman boxer has decided to give up donuts to reach her goal." - Jenny is the woman boxer and gave up donuts, so this statement is consistent. The correct answer is: Jenny gave up donuts and started boxing to lose 20 pounds. Tim gave up cookies and took karate to lose 13 pounds. Carl gave up muffins and started using the treadmill to lose 27 pounds. Olivia gave up popcorn and started walking to lose 34 pounds. Rachel gave up pretzels and started doing yoga to lose 24 pounds.
