And here is the first Logic Grid Game today.

"Pastry Panorama" had just flipped the 'Open' sign when four customers dashed in. They were all in a race against time, needing pies for their evening events. Each hurriedly filled out a form with their name, the type of pie they desired, its size, and the event it was meant for. The rush was palpable as they were all eager to get back to their event preparations.
Regrettably, Greg, the one on duty, mistakenly shredded these fresh orders along with some outdated orders from the previous day. His memory is foggy, recalling only some fragments from each order, but all the pies must be ready by 3:00 pm. Can you aid Greg in deciphering each order from the information he can recall?

First Names: Colin, Terry, Julie, and Bridget
Last Names: Johnson, Taylor, Barnes, and Bradley
Size: Small, Medium, Large, and Double-Decker
Type of Pie: Chocolate, Swirl, Angel Food, and Cookie
Occasion: Birthday, Baby Shower, Anniversary, and "Congratulations!" party

1. The four customers are:

  • Julie
  • the one with the surname Taylor
  • the one purchasing a large pie
  • and the Angel Food pie buyer

2. The four pies are: The double-decker, the cookie pie, the one ordered for a birthday, and the one purchased by Colin.

3. Precisely two customers shared the same first and last initial.

4. The customer named Johnson purchased a pie for her best friend who had just landed a significant job promotion!

5. The pie destined for an anniversary was larger than the birthday pie, and neither of them was a double-decker.

6. The swirl pie, either large or double-decker, wasn't bought for an annual celebration.

7. The birthday pie was meant for a one-year-old, thus, it was small in size.

8. Terry Barnes picked up the pie while his wife was occupied with arranging a surprise baby shower for a friend!
