Daymare 1994: Sandcastle Debuts New PC Gameplay Demo May 11 

The demo revealed alongside August 30, 2023 launch for PC and consoles 

 

 

Singapore - May 9th, 2023 - Daymare: 1994 Sandcastle, the third-person story-driven survival horror game prequel to the critically acclaimed Daymare: 1998, invites players on a new adventure with a new gameplay demo available on Thursday, May 11, 2023. The highly anticipated survival horror game will deliver an unforgettable experience on PC, PlayStation® 5, PlayStation® 4, Xbox® Series and Xbox® One on August 30, 2023. 

 

Developed by Italian team Invader Studios and co-published by Singapore-based 4Divinity in Asia, Daymare: 1994 Sandcastle casts players as special agent Dalila Reyes, a former government spy now in the service of the H.A.D.E.S. (Hexacore Advanced Division for Extraction and Search) unit. Reyes’ mission seems simple: enter the most advanced experimental research centre in the United States of America. But who knows what dangers await her? 

 

 

Entering the Daymare: 1994 Sandcastle demo, players will experience both the first steps into the game story, having a detailed look at the game's mechanics and graphics and the combat model, with the possibility to try out most of the in-game weapons such as the liquid nitrogen-enhanced Frost Grip. 

 

The demo will also allow players to provide feedback and suggestions to the developers, which will be considered for the final version of the game together with the final fine-tuning. 

 

In a massive effort to meet & match the high expectations of the community and lovers of the franchise, Leonardo Interactive decided to move to August the final game release.

I’m glad they gave a clear date for both the demo and full release. I’m planning to try the demo as soon as it drops to see how the prequel atmosphere feels.

and I love seeing early builds drop like this, since it gives me something fresh to poke at while waiting for launch day. Stuff like marvel rivals hacks has actually helped me compare how different games handle tension and awareness, so trying this demo on May 11 should be fun from that angle too. I’m mostly curious how tight the combat feels and whether the atmosphere holds up across the whole run.
