Recommended Posts

Tropical Depression Ambo is expected to bring cloudy skies, rains, and thunderstorms over the Philippines in the next 24 hours, state weather bureau PAGASA said Sunday afternoon.

In its 4 p.m. weather bulletin, PAGASA said Ambo was last seen 605 kilometers east of Davao City or 555 kilometers east of Hinatuan, with maximum sustained winds of up to 45 kilometers per hour (kph) and gustiness of up to 55 kph.

Ambo is moving west-northwest at 15 kph.

Also, the trough of the tropical depression was forecast to bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Caraga, Davao Region, SOCCSKSARGEN, and Maguindanao.

Meanwhile, localized thunderstorms are expected to bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.

PAGASA advised the public to prepare for possible flash floods or landslides due to severe thunderstorms.

Further, the state weather bureau said light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal water conditions will prevail in Northern and Central Luzon as well as the rest of the country, while moderate to strong winds with moderate to rough waters should be expected in the eastern section of Mindanao. —Julia Mari Ornedo/LBG, GMA News
