Has anyone tried BTRFS instead of ext4? It seems to give me a slight better battery life and a much faster file transfer speed. I could be just imagining things on the battery life, but the file transfer speed HAS improved drastically for me for sure. I've nuked my system and switched the root and home partitions to BTRFS. If you're going to try it, make sure to keep the boot partition as ext4. And of course, back up.
