True enough, when you search for GCash in the Google Play Store, it is nowhere to be found. Even a direct link to the app store shows negative results from the app store. On the other hand, GCash continues to appear and be available from Apple’s iTunes App Store and Huawei’s AppGallery so this incident is only isolated to the Google Play Store. GCash’s official Facebook page did not make any announcement regarding the removal of the app but has posted warnings against fake news that are being spread in an attempt to use the removal of the app to scam GCash users. ADVISORY: Fake news alert Be warned of these posts circulating on social media. GCash services continue to be accessible. Rest assured that your funds are safe and secure. A similar incident was recorded back in April 2019 where GCash was also temporarily removed from the app store 205 and no explanation were given.
